L’exploration urbaine, abrégée de l’anglais Urban exploration est une activité qui consiste à visiter des lieux construits par l’homme abandonné ou non. En général interdits d’accès ou tout du moins cachés ou difficiles d’accès.  L’exploration urbaine au sens propre, désigne le fait de recueillir des données sur des zones publiques du paysage urbain,  délaissées tout ou partie du temps, en vue d’y accéder et de les utiliser.  Généralement une pratique clandestine faite sans l’autorisation des éventuels propriétaires.  Selon le Britannique Damon Richter photographe,  blogueur et explorateur urbain.  L’exploration urbaine est essentiellement une façon d’atteindre à de nouvelles perspectives sur le monde urbain.  Quant à Jarold Dumouchel il est un passionné de l’image.  Dans son jargon à lui,  il utilise amalgame plutôt le terme  playground. Son travail et son cheminement est très intéressants.  Il combine à travers le monde l’exploration urbaine et rurale de sites non touchés depuis une dizaine d’années.  Il sélectionne principalement des sites non vandalisés et où il a une histoire marquante.  Ce qui rend son travail tout à fait intéressant et unique.  Il agit de façon consciencieuse et respecte les lieux visités.  Il ne touche rien et ne prend rien.  Nous ne sommes pas des vandales et ne visitons aucun lieu sans le consentement du ou des propriétaires ! Personnellement j’aime son travail exécuté avec professionnalisme…!
Quant à moi, je penche plutôt vers une approche plutôt rural et expérimental.  Si j’aurai à décrire un terme pour mon travail,  j’appellerai cela le « country urbex » une orientation qui se veut plus marginal,  profitant de la tranquillité et la beauté de la campagne et de ses paysages.  Loin du bruit,  du contre plaqué et du stress. Cela ce rapproche plus de mes racines et de ma façon de vivre.  J’aime photographier les fermes,  vieilles maisons,  villages,  de vielles industries qui témoigne l’existence d’une époque enchantée…!

In his jargon, he uses rather the term Urbex playground. Its work and its progress is very interesting. He combines worldwide the urban and rural exploration of sites not affected since decade. He selects mainly not vandalized sites and where he has a striking history. What returns its completely interesting and unique work. He acts in a conscientious way and respects the visited places. He touches nothing and takes anything. We are not vandals and do not visit no place without the consent of one or several owners ! Personally I like his work executed with professionalism !
As for me, I tilt rather to an approach rather rural and experimental. If I shall have to describe a term for my work, I shall call it him  »  Country musicUrbex  » an orientation which aims to be more marginal, taking advantage of the tranquillity and the beauty of the countryside and its landscapes. Far from the noise and stress. Closer to my roots and my way of living.  I like photographing  firm, old houses, the villages,  industries who shows the existence of enchanted time
